What hairstyles work with curly hair?

I have super curly corksrew curls. My hair is very soft, but easily becomes unmanageble.I have to style it when wet, anyone with hair like mine knows its hoplessly fixed in place when dry. I usually wear it in a headband or in a ponytail

I have the same problem - this is what I do. You need a "curls" styling product as well as shampoo and conditioner, try Pantene and just follow the instructions.
