How can you make curly hair go wavy?

My hair is sometimes super curly, and sometimes wavy at the beach. it depends on humidity. its not coarse or anything or super curly, just soft kinda ringlets. Anyways is there any method you know to make it go wavy instead of ringlety?

How can you make curly hair go wavy?

try brushing it out after you get out of the shower then using a slight bit of moose and scrunch it evenly through ur hair

you could also comb it when wet then buy beach hair spray

and spray it through out buy it at like local drug marts

How can you make curly hair go wavy?

Straightening creams! They do wonders. Also use hair treatments and deep condition at least once a month. =]

How can you make curly hair go wavy?

Put a straightening cream in it like John Frieda wind down cream

How can you make curly hair go wavy?

try to comb your hair with a fat comb straight while you blow dry your hair

Gel or wax for thick, curly, hair?

i'm a guy. My hair is really thick and its a little curly but not too curly What should I use to acheive that messy "I dont care what my hair looks like yet I buy products to make it look that way" look?

Gel or wax for thick, curly, hair?

use a gel or pomade.....

Gel or wax for thick, curly, hair?

Either one is fine, a light gel will work and waxes are good to just be careful how much you use. A dime size is really all you need.

Gel or wax for thick, curly, hair?

I know the feelin i have the same kind of hair, mine is thick and curly, but it depends on how much u wash and condition your hair, personally a gel will give it the wet and shiny look and a pomade will let u style and hold the style to whatever look u going for, try both and see which one make u happy, but buy the products that say for curly hair, they work better i think

Gel or wax for thick, curly, hair?

Neither, for that type of hair the perfect thing is moose or spray.Example:spray:Finesse spray, moose:Suave hair moose.

Gel or wax for thick, curly, hair?

This stuff is great for that %26amp; doesn't make your hair hard!

American Crew Fiber.

Gel or wax for thick, curly, hair?

I would use mousse because it isnt as greasy and when I use it, my hair looks a mess! Gel makes it come out perfect. Try mousse...thats the only thing that would work.

Girls, what do you think of curly hair?

OK, I know it's not as important as personality but in this digital world you'll never see the real me ; ) otherwise you'll love me (please note sarcasm)

But is curly hair cute? I mean, I can straighten my hair but some say it doesn't look well on me, so... what do you think? Would you mind curly hair?

Girls, what do you think of curly hair?

love it!!!!!!

Girls, what do you think of curly hair?

Depends upon every person personality.

Girls, what do you think of curly hair?

it doesn't matter ^_^-even though IT IS cute

but i look for personality. i hate thugs and gansters and pimps, or whatever they're called today. if i detect a cool nice personality, u definetly have a chance with me.

Girls, what do you think of curly hair?

no

Girls, what do you think of curly hair?

Curly hair's cool. Be your own unique and cute self.

Girls, what do you think of curly hair?

I love curly hair total hot!

Girls, what do you think of curly hair?

it does not matter to me but i do prefer short hair what ever kind of hair it may be

Girls, what do you think of curly hair?

curly hair on guys giving the "surfer" look is way cute. straighening it gives you the cool, laid back look. either way is real hot. happy??

Girls, what do you think of curly hair?

Curly hair is so wild i like

Girls, what do you think of curly hair?

No one of my best guy friend has curly hair... if you can pull it off.

Girls, what do you think of curly hair?

curly hair is fine...rather cute if you ask me

Girls, what do you think of curly hair?

it's a hell of a lot better than a GUY straightening his hair. that's girlier than curls.

i do like curly hair on guys because i dunno, it's just cute.

Girls, what do you think of curly hair?

no. curly is girly.go with a straigh, hilighted look with hir the length of this

http://www.europeanspaandsalon.com/image...

Girls, what do you think of curly hair?

It wouldn't be an issue...straight or curly, any color, or none at all...I've been attracted to all types where hair or lack-of is concerned. 閳?br>Girls, what do you think of curly hair?

If you wear it with character then it looks great. My best friend Joe has a massive mop of curly hair, it's a lovely reddish brown colour, and we call it his Joe-Fro. It's such an integral part of him that if he cut it off he'd look silly.

Basically, if you wear ANYTHING with confidence and sass then it'll look great.

PS: And I love that Kat said that curly is girly and then linked to possibly the gayest hairstyle EVER.

Girls, what do you think of curly hair?

Curly hair is hot. But it doesn't matter what kind of hair.

Girls, what do you think of curly hair?

I personally think its kinda sexy!!!!!!!!!!!!!Dont straighten it%26gt;

Girls, what do you think of curly hair?

CURLY HAIR is HOT!!! it turns me ALL the time. whenever i see a curly hair guy, or girl, i turn around and stare!!! my hair is straight no matter how often i curl it, it will just get back to being straight after a short time. yeah! keep it!

Girls, what do you think of curly hair?

Curly hair is hot---I think it is sooo sexy. Don't straighten your hair-- I love curly hair :o)

Girls, what do you think of curly hair?

Loving it both ways...do curly when you feel it, then go straight when you feel it, they are both sexy.

Girls, what do you think of curly hair?

it depends on if it fits you and your face if you like it go with it

Girls, what do you think of curly hair?

I think its cute.I have no issues with curly hair at all on guys.lol my ex co worker had curly hair he never let get curly. This guy would were a hat or straighten it,shave his head. One day i convinced him to let his hair do its own thing and grow it out a little.Well lets just say he was beating off the girls with a stick.Natural is always better.

Girls, what do you think of curly hair?

curly hair is SEXY!

i love to dig my fingers into it!

What do you think of curly hair?

i have natural brown curly hair that i have hated since i was little. i've always wanted straight hair, cause it is easier to take care of. but what do you ppl like? curly or straight?

What do you think of curly hair?

Straight hair does not look as flattering on most people as curly hair does. Straight hair is a very dramatic, drastic look. Curly hair is more interesting and adds oomph to your face instead of dragging it down like straight hair does.

What do you think of curly hair?

i think you can do both i love either but i do preferr straight just cause its easier to take care of

What do you think of curly hair?

I like it on women.

What do you think of curly hair?

I had straight hair till age 45 then it started to curl, I love it

What do you think of curly hair?

both but I prefer curly.

What do you think of curly hair?

i have curly hair too and i like it but if i want a straighten it then i can..whenever i want with my iron lol

What do you think of curly hair?

i think its cool if you switch it around a little- curly today, straight tomorrow. my hair is wavy. sometimes i curl it. sometimes i straighten it. sometimes i just leave it the way it is or put it up. its nice to have variety.

What do you think of curly hair?

This morning my hair was straight. But then Brad called, so I decided to go curly. I used Wash and Curl, the curling shampoo. Thank-you Wash and Curl! lol. but seriously, I like curly hair (naturally curly).

What do you think of curly hair?

i have long curly hair too...guys think its sexy if you have confidence in it and if you think its sexy too....put some good scrunching gel in it after you get out of the shower...this defines the curls really well....just be proub to have curly hair, its cute....everyone has long straight hair....you dont want to be evryone else.... your different thats a good thing!!just rock your hair like its nobodys business

What do you think of curly hair?

What do you think of curly hair?

I have naturally curly hair and the curlier it is the better. Feel blessed for what God gave you! Most people covet curly hair!

What do you think of curly hair?

I've had curly all my life than I bought this great invention "The hair staightener" now i have the best of both worlds...so my answer is i like both...but straight is way easier to handle

What do you think of curly hair?

curly, just as easy to look after if it is natural, and very cute, ever notice how many ads there are for conditioners to add "natural" bounce and curl as opposed to ads for straight and flat?

What do you think of curly hair?

straight

What do you think of curly hair?

honestly i think wavy hair or straight. Ive never liked really curly hair.

What do you think of curly hair?

both, they both take time to make look good.

What do you think of curly hair?

Learn to love what you have. you were meant to have it.

My hair only has a slight 'curve' to it, but I asked for a body wave a few years back and got that scrunchie, spiral thing that is very high maint. IMO .... It's a lot of thick heavy hair and I do get bored with it sometimes but dang if I'll let someone fry it with chemicals again.

My sister has the curly hair and I know (now that I've endured that) it's a bother for her, but then it looks good on her.

What do you think of curly hair?

Curly hair is SEXY. I love it. I have wavy hair. I've always wished it was curly. You are lucky girl. You can easily straighten it, but it's hard to get the natural curly look.

What do you think of curly hair?

well i think curly hair is very sexy especially if your going out on a date and stuff...its refreshing especially in the summer if you do the wet look with it...

my sis has straight hair and for the summer she decided to go curly i think its awesome...and straight hair is not also easy to take care of trust i know

What do you think of curly hair?

been there.. i too have natural brown curly hair... and of course all my life i wanted straight hair.. and of course girls w/straight hair want curly hair.. that's the way of the world...

i've been lucky enough to have extremely cooperative hair, i can wear it straight, wavy, etc.. i've come to embrace my curls of late, it's the new rage, if you're hair's frizzy buy some specialty shampoo, and you don't have to spend $12 a bottle.. try herbal essence's totally twisted curls %26amp; waves shampoo %26amp; conditioner.

you can go online and get a coupon but it's a great system and it really gives you those gorgeous ringlets that people pay money for that you can get for free!!!

and keep in mind, the longer your hair grows the less curly it's going to be, so if you want it to be more managable and have that flat straight look, let it grow.. you'll also get a sexy wave going on as well, because the curls will still try to curl and they'll be so long that they'll just give your hair this soft wavy look...

but figure out what you're most comfortable with, because no matter what, if it doen't make you feel good to wear it, you're not going to be comfortable and when you're not comfortable you're not going to feel confident, and confidence is the sexiest thing you can wear...

good luck!

What to do for short curly hair?

i straighten my hair eventhough its naturally curly and want to wear it naturally but dont know how to style it. i have very short, curly, thick hair that is very frizzy and poofy help.

What to do for short curly hair?

An anti-frizz serum could be your best friend. I use Chi Silk Infusion. John Freida Frizz Serum also works really well. Use it while your hair is still wet from your shower, then again right before styling. Also, a curling mousse, such as Pantene Pro-V can help with the poof.

What to do for short curly hair?

AFRO and keep it

What to do for short curly hair?

Put it in a bun,put it in a ponytail on top of your head, put it in pigtails.

What kinda hair do girls liek better?[straight?-or curly?]?

because i have curly hair and i need to know if curly hair is good lookin?

What kinda hair do girls liek better?[straight?-or curly?]?

depends on the guys face. some guys look good in any hair!!

What kinda hair do girls liek better?[straight?-or curly?]?

Preppy girls love long hair. Not as long as gurl's hair, though. And as for gangsta girls, they usually like real short hair...so yea

What kinda hair do girls liek better?[straight?-or curly?]?

Straight mostly.

but it does kinda depend on your face.

What kinda hair do girls liek better?[straight?-or curly?]?

I prefer straight hair, but it depends how curly his hair is. Some guys I know have curly hair that looks really messy like they've never brushed it before. But then...some guys look better with curly than straight. w

How can i bring back my natural curly hair?

throughout my years my hair has changed from small curls to wavy hair to cute big curls and now its not exactly how it used to be....any suggestions on how i can bring my natural curly hair back....is there any special conditioner or shampoo or mousse....i have also tried mousse on my hair but i have thick hair and its not able to handle it and as for gel it sometimes works but in order for it to be nice i have to put alot of gel in my hair and thats just to much chemicals

How can i bring back my natural curly hair?

The best way to bring back your natural hair is to let it grow out from the root because that is your natural hair. Do not add any perms, relaxers, or texturizers. Just let it grow.

How can i bring back my natural curly hair?

hair changes are often caused by hormones. talk to your hairdresser about the best products for your hair and buy some shampoo %26amp; conditioner for curly/wavy hair.

How do you make your hair curly again??

i had curly hair now my hair has grown out more and it got a little straighter for some reason i dont know. is this normal? if i get some type of small haircut can it get curly again?

How do you make your hair curly again??

Curling Iron.

How do you make your hair curly again??

Try a perm?!

How do you make your hair curly again??

Try putting some gel in it and scrunching it and blowdry with a diffuser while scrunching it.

How do you make your hair curly again??

sometimes if your hair is curly and you cut it too short, their isn't enough weight to hold the curls down and they tend to straighten out or become more wavy. Also, your hair can just become more straight as you age. You can try scrunching your hair around the roots where it is less curly while it is still wet.

How do you make your hair curly again??

Yeah its normal. Mines opposite though. If you perm it, it will be curly again.

How do you make your hair curly again??

The longer your own hair gets it created weight and is pulling the curl out try a curl activating gel Like in the Loop by Redkin

How do you make your hair curly again??

There are lots of reasons why our hair loses its curl. My sister in law lost all her curls when she fell pregnant and it wasn't till after her third pregnancy that she got her curl back. Sometimes if you are on medication of some kind it will take the curl away. Just look after it and be patient and it should come back, eventually.

How do you make your hair curly again??

hmm, curly or straight is depend on your genetic. if suddenly your new growth hair become straight maybe you used any medicine or used a new shampoo.don`t worry if u have a curly genetic you will get your curly hair again. but if you dont have it..hmm, you should go to your hair dresser!they can make your hair curly..

I have Medium length hair. Very VERY VERY curly...?

It's proabaly a little lower of my shoulders... but when i leave it down it gets even shorter cuz of my curly hair.. i love my hair but i'm tired of the same hair styles i use does anyone have ideas for my type of hair? thanks

I have Medium length hair. Very VERY VERY curly...?

first you can try going to the salon and ask for there help or you can straighten it

I have Medium length hair. Very VERY VERY curly...?

unfortunatly with the texture of your hair , any new style could cause damage. straighteners r bad. so is braiding, for me as a rule i never braid curls . you could use a comb and part your hair different or try ponytails or barettes . i use little rubber bands to make pig tails, and i use clips to do different stuff too. bangs help as well as you can stle them and leave the rest of your hair go.

I have Medium length hair. Very VERY VERY curly...?

i am half black half white so i hav the same problem. u can always find something 2 do w/ ur hair. u can put it in high and low ponytails, do a curly puff, straighten it, put it half up half down, and many more. my advice wud b 2 look in a magazine.

I have Medium length hair. Very VERY VERY curly...?

i have the same problem and i think im the best person to answer this.you can do gorgious pony tails its simple easy and effective, once in a while also you can straighten your hair too, also you can do a quiff and have your hair tied at the back that is what i do........... hope it helped you hun

I have Medium length hair. Very VERY VERY curly...?

I wish i had curly hair, i have wavy and it isnt good wavy. Whatever you do dont get it straightened , because the heat will ruin your curls and dont dye it, it'll ruin your hair.

I have Medium length hair. Very VERY VERY curly...?

You are limited to what you can do but I think if I were you I would let it grow longer and see if the weight will make the curls less tight. NO BANGS for very very curly hair! They end up looking weird and even if you style them it's a very dated look....not modern. Also, rubber bands and barettes cause damage and breakage so I would avoid those as well. If you want to wear it up you can get great bands that are covered so your hair won't get tangled. They are made by Goody. The best thing you can do for your curls are keep them healthy. Don't use chemical straighteners because they are very damaging. Just love the hair you are gifted with. :)

Need help figuring out how to keep my hair curly?

My hair is naturally curly. Right now it goes down to my lower back (I'm short lol) and is extremely thick (you can't imagine..ugh). Right now it is also slightly layered. I have very natural curly hair. The problem is that as it dries the top layers straighten out on their own. If you pull the top layers up you can see the natural curl very prominently in my bottom layers. I never put anything in my hair because I absolutely hate the feeling of having stuff in my hair and it makes my head itch. But I'm beginning to think I will deal with it as long as I can find something that works. But what I'm looking for is something that I can put in it to keep that natural curl prominent in the top layers also without looking like Ive dumped a bunch of hair styling stuff in it. Something that will make it look as natural as possible. Are there any products like that out there????

Need help figuring out how to keep my hair curly?

u can use a curl enhancing product.. theyre not too greasy as long as u dont put too much in, so it should be fine

Need help figuring out how to keep my hair curly?

u can use curling irons. u can't really tell the diff after dat. or use really this rollers. u can even make 'em ur self using thin cardboard and sleep w/ it. gd results the next day.

Should I use products for curly or coloured hair?

I have curly hair, which tends to frizz, which I dye three to four times a year. Should I use products for curly hair to fight the frizz, or dyed hair to preserve the colour? I also ometime ssue straighteners, as if it wasnt processed enough already?

Should I use products for curly or coloured hair?

You could try Redkin products. They have one for curly hair and all their shampoos and cond. are safe for color treated hair. That way you get the best of both worlds.

Should I use products for curly or coloured hair?

Read some useful hair tips and more on this site to help you

Should I use products for curly or coloured hair?

No! Don't destroy your hair. It will make you old before your time!

Should I use products for curly or coloured hair?

no 1 shouldnt

Should I use products for curly or coloured hair?

my hair is heavely frizzy and I use a straightner and It doesn't harm anything unless you use it twice a day everyday don't straightn it the same week as coloring it though the color needs time to soak and can come out in the straigh. process

Should I use products for curly or coloured hair?

try this products:http://www.freshnup.net/dead-mineral-hai...

Should I use products for curly or coloured hair?

You can do both there is frizz products you can get ..called frizz buster.. and I have curly hair and I know about frizz.lol. you can dye it and get the frizz product it doesnt matter what color ur hair is...but straightning it doesnt help at all..that ruins your hair because when it's naturally curly and your stop straightning it it'll look bad because it wont be curly or straight it'll be fried...expecially ceramic hair straightners ruin your hair..

I would go all natural curly hair and get product for your hair to keep the curls looking good and the frizz down.

I would use a large curling iron (2 inch maybe?) and just experiment until you get your curls right. Different hair will take the curl differently. Some natually straight hair just doesn't hold curl well. If your hair doesn't seem to be holding the curls, try washing your hair at least a day before curling so that it is kind of dirty (sounds gross... but it works!). Also, hairspray or gel will definitely help keep them in!

How do u get ur hair curly like this?

looks like LARGE rollers to me...

How do u get ur hair curly like this?

i loveeeeee her hair. i wish i could tell you how to do it! i am curious myself

How do u get ur hair curly like this?

Get a good job so you can afford a hairstylist.. Haha.. no..

Umm, first straighten your hair to get all frizzies flat. With a large barrell curling iron, curl your hair at the bottom to produce a big curl, and then comb it out with a wide tooth comb. After that, hairspray it to keep the style, and there you go!

=]

How do u get ur hair curly like this?

well you may want to try a curling iron...but a thick one.

the thicker the iron the bigger and looser the curls will be.

also try rollers...same thing the thicker the looser...

and as far as products...look for something that would give you hold and texture..yet it wont make it hard and flaky..you dont want to look like you have fake hair those curls are more of a natural look.

also try hair mosse i use it for everything and it gives volume.

anyways just go to sallys and ask for the different products as far as brands ect.

they will help you according to your hair type.

best of luck!

How do u get ur hair curly like this?

Gisele is gorgeous! You can put your hair in large velcro rollers for a long time - or you can curl it with a large curling iron in kinda tight curls at night-then when you wake up in the morning, tease it just a little with your fingers and it will look messy and loose like hers

I have curly hair and i dont know how to manage it ?

my hair is very curly but it tends to frizz alot and i can never get it into perfect little ringlets. and it is also very thick so i really need ur help people. i dont know how to manage it . so if u can gimme sometips that would be great.

Nancy did an aweseome job:)

you know...sometimes it is really Coolllllll...

to NOT be noticed

I have curly hair and i dont know how to manage it ?

I have a friend with the same "problem." She cut her hair very short, and now she grins prettily and remarks, "I style my hair with a washcloth." I think it's a matter of making the best hand out of the cards you were dealt.

I have curly hair and i dont know how to manage it ?

Well the easiest thing is nothing embrace the curliness of your hair. But if that doesn't work for you,you could use a high powered straightner they can be found on ebay or in beaty supply stores and possibly Walmart,KMart or a store like that.

I have curly hair and i dont know how to manage it ?

KEEP THEM OPEN OR TAKE FEW PUT A PIN OR CLUTHER AT THE BACK

I have curly hair and i dont know how to manage it ?

Shave your hair. Again when it grows, shaved it. Repeat this for 10 times. I am not joking. It really works. Don't believe ? Come %26amp; see mine. Ohhh !! yes. I am talking about the bushes aroung my genitals.

I have curly hair and i dont know how to manage it ?

The FIRST thing is to find a hair dresser that knows how to cut curly hair. It's not as simple as it seems - a basic cut will only make the curl look wild and unorganized. A GREAT haircut makes the world of difference, believe me.

Try a layered cut. Don't blowdry as that makes the hair frizz - mousse it and let it dry naturally, then run a pick through it. Don't use heavy conditioners as they will pull the curl out of the hair and make it look lank. Use good salon quality products, and stick to "normal/dry" varieties even if your hair isn't dry - it will help with the curl. Sometimes a *touch* of leave-on type conditioner is all you need which will bring out the natural loops and whorls of your hair.

I have curly hair and i dont know how to manage it ?

well i have curly hair because iam biracial but u can use fizz-ease and put it on with little sections of hair or straighten it then curl it

I have curly hair and i dont know how to manage it ?

I have always had naturally curly hair and the best product around is John Frieda Frizz Ease Hair Serum. Try it and you'll see - it's the best!

I have curly hair and i dont know how to manage it ?

condition ur hair regularly with a good conditionner also use serum after washing ur hair...oil ur hair regularly

I have curly hair and i dont know how to manage it ?

if your hair is curly try straightening it.

I have curly hair and i dont know how to manage it ?

iF YOU REALLY LIKE YOUR CURLY HAIR THEN MAKE SURE YO USE A GOOD MOISTURIZING SHAMPOO AND CONCITIONER AND THEN USE INFUSIUM 23 LEAVE INTREATMENT AND THEN PUT THIS PRODUCT BY THE NAME OF WET BY SEBASTIAN IN YOUR HAIR ANS THEN SOME MOUSSE BY JOICO BECAUSE THAT IS THE ONLY ONE THAT I HAVE FOUND THAT DOES NOT MAKE YOUR HAIR DRY AND FLAKY. I DO THIS TO MY HAIR AND I HAVE EXTREMELY CURLY HAIR AND I LIKE TO WEAR MY HAIR NATURAL BECAUSE I ALSO HAVE COLOR SO IF I USE THE WRONG PRODUCTS THEN MY HAIR LOOKS REALLY DRY BUT HIS WORKS BECAUSE YOUR HAIR LOOKS WET EVEN WHEN IT IS DRY AND THAT IS WHAT I WANTED FOR MY NATURAL CURL TO SHOW I ALSO SHAMPOO MY HAIR ONCE A WEEK INSTEAD OF EVERYDAY AND I DO NOT PUT THIS STUFF IN MY H AIR EVERYDAY ONLY ABOUT TWICE A WEEK AND I JUST DAMPEN MY HAIR IN THE MORNING ON THE DAYS THAT I DO NOT PUT ANYTHING IN IT AND I USE A DIFFUSER IF i WANT TO HAVE BIG HAIR BUT USUALLY I JUST LET IT AIR DRY AND JUST GET UP AND GO

I have curly hair and i dont know how to manage it ?

Try the site below.

I have curly hair and i dont know how to manage it ?

Easy styles for curly hair?

"Hairstyle Definition

The hairdo described is designed around a very basic tightly crafted ponytail that is anchored at the top of the crown with hair sculpted to fan out and up. The base of the updo hugs the crown and the back of the head. Although the model is not wearing bangs, this style could also be created with any type of fringed front hairline.

Face Shape Considerations

This elegant sleek style highlights the face along with the dress. Although most face shapes will be flattered by this style, if your face is long and thin it is better to design the updo so it lays closer to the head with more volume added along the sides.

Oval and heart shaped faces will look beautiful in this style. Square faces can achieve balance by carefully pulling ringlet tendrils down around the jaw and cheeks to soften. Round face shapes can achieve a slimming effect by adding more height at the crown, adding tendrils at the cheeks and playing with a light dusting of side parted bangs or hairline tendrils.

Best For Hair/Length/Condition

This fanned updo would work best for chin to shoulder length hair that is medium to fine in texture.

One option to consider with baby fine hair is to use a volumizing shampoo and gel or spray to blow up the hair cuticle.

Challenging For Hair/Length/Condition

Hair that is longer than shoulder length, exceptionally thick, naturally wavy or curly would require pre-styling straightening to prepare it for this style.

Thick or super thick hair may not be able to achieve the desired level of sleekness. It would be possible to re-create this look on thick or super thick hair that has been relaxed.

If you have short hair and wish to create this look, consider add- on extensions or clip on ponies.

Getting Started: Creating The Updo

Style #3673 from the Alfred Angelo Prom 2004 collection

漏 Alfred Angelo

This updo may requires the assistance of a professional stylist or a friend or family member that can help you fix your hair. Because the hair has sculpted fanned hair strands that hug the back of your head and crown, additional hands are required to achieve a carefully finished style.

With a little practice you or a prom going buddy could create the updo style. If you prefer, book an appointment with your favorite stylist to create the style.

If you wish to try this style on your own, be sure to spend time in several practice sessions to see if you can duplicate the look. If you have never worn an updo before, be prepared to adjust to a change in your hair comfort factor.

If you are in doubt about how well you would look in this style, have your hair done by a stylist several weeks before your Prom and have a friend take photos. This will give you a chance to look at yourself as others would see your hair.

Instructions

If possible, create this look on hair that is not freshly washed. Right after a shampoo hair tends to be soft, slippery and harder to work with. This is especially true for an updo style.

If you prefer to create the style on newly washed hair be sure to dress the hair well with styling creams, gels or lotions to help anchor the style for long term wear ability.

Step One: Create a deep side part on one side of the head. Starting at the front of the head use a paddle style brush and brush all of your hair back from the hairline on either side of the part to form a ponytail at the back of your crown near the top. Merge the hair on either side of the part to form a very tight angled ponytail sculpture.

Note: If you prefer bangs, these can also be added to the style. Keep in mind that if you modify the style from the instructions the look will not be identical to the photos shown in this article.

Phytolaque Hair Spray

Step Two: Once you have a sleek and tight ponytail, secure it with a hair bungee or Blax band in the same color as your hair.

Apply a good hair spray like Phytolaque to saturate and dampen hair. This will help to make hair more manageable as you style. It will also help to create and sculpt the fanned hair pieces.

Step Three: Grab the entire ponytail in the thumb and forefinger of the left hand approximately 1 1/2 to 2 inches down from the base of the secured ponytail. Taking the right hand, wrap the entire ponytail clockwise over and completely around the thumb and the forefinger to create a large loop with the ends of the new loop pulled up to the same level as the ponytail base.

Step Four: While holding the new hair loop in place with one hand, smooth and flatten the new hair loop and pin securely on the underneath side of the loop next to the scalp.

Use tiny hair or bobby pins in the same color as your hair. Make sure that the new loop is evenly balanced and symmetrical. Use as many pins as necessary to make sure the style will hold. As you pin the new loop be sure to leave 2-3 inches of long ends free.

When you are finished the looped hair will have been carefully merged into the top of the bottom ponytail to create a soft rounded bun effect.

Step Five: Once you have pinned the loop securely into place you should have a stalk of untamed hair ends sticking up near the ponytail base.

Apply hairspray, gel, wax or styling cream to the complete length of the ponytail ends to give them form and texture.

Take one strand and layer it around the base of the ponytail to hide the elastic band.

Step Six: Using your fingers carefully arrange the strands to form a type of free form hair fan. work from side to side to create a balanced fan hair sculpture.

If you want more control over the fanned strands, separate them into 1/4" to 1/2" individual strands, lightly twist clockwise and then pin into place.

Remember to take your time and check each strand as you pin. Make sure that each strand is firmly pinned once you position it. To hold securely, spray each fanned hair section with holding or styling spray as you work.

Position two bobby pins in a X formation near the end of the hair strands to get them to stand up. If you prefer, you can lightly back comb each fanned strand and spray to give it fullness and to form a larger feathery splay form.

Note: Do not use a brush or comb after you have created the ponytail. Use your fingers to style and arrange your hair. Keep the hair as close to your head as possible since this updo look is sleek, elegant and close to the scalp.

Step Seven: Decorate the finished updo style by adding one or more gorgeous fresh flowers or add pink crystals or white colored tiny crystal headbands, hair snaps, magnets or jeweled clips. If you use fresh flowers, wait to pin them into your hair right before you leave for the Prom to keep them as fresh as long as possible.

Conair - Instant Heat 1" Curling Iron

If you prefer, you can leave long tendril sections to cascade down around your face. If you want tighter tendrils use a 1/4 to 1 inch barreled curling iron or hot rollers to give you a tighter ringlet.

Summary

This style can be easily modified by adding more or less wax and/or styling products. Add a little styling wax for a more edgy look. Or keep the look soft by spraying with a light hairspray to finish the look.

Experiment with a range of options from adding different parts and bangs to pinning in add-on hair pieces to create more fanned hair pieces.

Note: A special thank you to Alfred Angelo for sharing this gorgeous gown with HairBoutique.com. If you would like to purchase this gown go to the Alfred Angelo site for a list of retail stores that carry this design."

Good luck! You're going to look gorgeous at the party tonight!

Layers with curly hair?

i straighten my hair alot, but if i were to get some layers in and leave it curly once in awhile how would that look? would they like stick out or what? what could i do to style it so that i could work it? thanks for any suggestions.

Layers with curly hair?

It will give your hair more body - so if you don't like the fullness when you have curly hair then go light with the layers

Layers with curly hair?

i think you'd be perfectly fine both my mom and my sister have curly hair and they have their's layerd so i dont see it being a problem at all

Layers with curly hair?

It would make your curls curlier, and thin your hair out some. Just put some gel . You could pin some pieces out of your face, ponytail or use a headband!

Layers with curly hair?

it would give it some volume, and even when your having a bad hair day, no one would noctic!!

Layers with curly hair?

It sounds like we have the same hair. I have long layers in my hair and I LOVE it!!! When I wear it curly it is more curly on the top and when I straighten it...it has more volume. It's wonderful! Good luck babe!

Layers with curly hair?

I have naturally curly hair and I always have layers cut into it. The layers help your hair to look more full and fluffy. I often pull my hair up into a french twist or roll and leave some curls dangling down from the top of the twist. You can leave it down or pull it back, look online or in some hair magazines to get some more ideas the possibilities are endless!!

Very very very thick curly hair..what to do??

my hair is so thick and extrmely curly! i hate it when it is dry and it puffs out so much...it seems like i have an afro!!! eelkkk... every time i use a product it work awesome...but then after an hour or two it puffs out again! i feel like i can't to anything with my hair! i straignten but i really dont want to do that every day becuase it takes so long!

when i went to the salon..the stylist said she had never seen anyone with my kind of hair! i would really like some help on what to do

Very very very thick curly hair..what to do??

Yeah, my hair was the same as well. Until I found Ouidad. Stop straightening your hair %26amp; don't have it thinned with a razor, this will ruin your hair. Curly hair is the most delicate of all - regardless of thickness %26amp; you are ruining your curl and creating puffy curls from pulling on your hair. There are no good affordable products for our hair type. They mostly contain heavy silicones - which you should NEVER use on your hair - as well as cheap alcohol that only dries your hair out even more. I have used everything %26amp; the only thing I have found to work is Ouidad.( her site is www.ouidad.com). My hair has never looked or felt better. Frizz is gone and my curls are healthy, which is what's really important. Also, my sister uses her "Humidity gel" when she blows out her hair because it never frizzes %26amp; protect her hair from the heat.

Very very very thick curly hair..what to do??

Very very very thick curly hair..what to do??

use a relaxer it straightes ur hair for a mounth for more they sell it at target, walmart, kmart, or when u go to the buaty solon ask for a hair trement

Very very very thick curly hair..what to do??

so sorry about your issue!! well i have very frizzy %26amp; curly hair as well but it is thin as heck!!! Well start off by washing hair %26amp; conditioning it With Pantene ( they make one for specifically for frizzy hair) Comb your hair out inside the shower!! Not when you get out! Comb it out in the shower %26amp; add some conditioner to it after combing it with a large tooth comb only! As soon as you get out of the shower, towel dry it to get some of th excess water out. Then buy some frizzease hair serum or citre shine hair gel! Try one or both in hair, by running it through your hair section by section. Finish off with mouse or Garnier's Curl sculpting cream!!! Good luck!! I know exactly how you feel!!!

Very very very thick curly hair..what to do??

use a relaxer and start oiling your hair every three days.

Very very very thick curly hair..what to do??

MY HAIR IS VERY CURLY TOO BUT VERY THIN AND PUFFY.

I USE DOVE STYLING GEL AND CREAM EVERYDAY. I KNOW IT'S HASSAL BUT I WET MY HAIR EVERYDAY, COMB IT THEN USE GEL AND THEN COMB IT OVER AGAIN. OTHER FAMOUS COMPANY'S GEL WERE VERY STICKY TO EVEN TOUCH, DOVE HELPED ME FROM THAT PUFFY HAIR LOOK. I'M SURE IT COULD BE HELPFULL TO YOU TO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very very very thick curly hair..what to do??

hey, we're in the same boat.

i used to have a brade before, but when i cut my hair like 6 month ago i realized that i'm doomed. what i do i wash it with L'OREAL conditioner. try it, it works for me. then i comb it when it's wet, let it dry for like 10 minutes. then i brade it for the night. sometimes i put a little mouse on top. in the morning it's not messy, i just let it down. i don't comb it in the morning, no need.

for the whole day it holds nice waves, well if u don't rubb ur head on something.

Very very very thick curly hair..what to do??

get a razored cut....and get it thinned out a little. Grow it long. Maybe it won't be so puffy.

I have REALLY thick curly hair... best flat iron?

Please help me with this question. My hairdresser says my hair is some of the thickest hair he's ever seen, and on top of that it's curly. What is the best kind of flat iron for my hair type?

I have REALLY thick curly hair... best flat iron?

pricey, but definately worth it. my friend has EXTREMELY thick curly hair and this takes care of it.

http://www.fhiheat.com/main.html

try the runway starightener, it works the best =)

I have REALLY thick curly hair... best flat iron?

i'm not sure if you can still answer resolved questions (probably not) but if anyone has any other suggestions please feel free to email me. sarahwartman@yahoo.com Report It

I have REALLY thick curly hair... best flat iron?

the large plated ghd's the best yet. pricey but last forever

I have REALLY thick curly hair... best flat iron?

ghd afro friz collection

I have REALLY thick curly hair... best flat iron?

I use a Braun (the one with the ioniser thingies in it) and I'm very happy with it. Not sure about the model number, but it has temperature control and heats up very quickly, probably one of the better models.

I have REALLY thick curly hair... best flat iron?

I found the Babyliss Thermaglass had a good effect on my curly hair when it was long. Now it is shorter I'm using Nicky Clarke's slimline straighteners. I actually think the Thermaglass ones were better at smoothing but they are too 'fat' for my hair now.

I have REALLY thick curly hair... best flat iron?

conair infiniti or sedu are AWESOME

I have REALLY thick curly hair... best flat iron?

this one is the best ever. i have it and i love it. it gets super hot and it supposed to damage ur hair less than other irons. its really expensive but it will last and do a good job. and it has a 4 year warrenty

Is it okay for curly hair to wet\wash their hair with conditioner only daily??!?

Hiiiii.I was just wondering because i wash my hair daily but not with shampoo but with conbditioner and i have really curly hair it seems to look good but i heard shampooing daily is bad .Thnx!!

Is it okay for curly hair to wet\wash their hair with conditioner only daily??!?

yes its good for hair its called a Co wash..heres a greaaat site for curly hairrr...i used to do co washign and it helped my hair sooo much made it more hydrated softer and easy to manage http://forum.blackhairmedia.com/ this is a greatt site that talks about co wash and eveything..espically curly.afro hair ect...here is another site about how a girl does her hair has pictures and her step by step conditioner wash ect http://healthytextures.typepad.com/my_jo... ....vote me best answer??

Is it okay for curly hair to wet\wash their hair with conditioner only daily??!?

Well it isn't bad to shampoo every day if you have a mild shampoo. and shampoo does get rid of oils, while conditioner just mosturizes your hair, so doesn't that mean you're not getting rid of oil that's built up?

Is it okay for curly hair to wet\wash their hair with conditioner only daily??!?

I have really curly hair and only wash it with shampoo 2-3 times a week because using shampoo everyday drys it out. As I'm sure you know once you sleep on curly hair you look like the bride of Frankenstein, so on the days I don't shampoo I rinse it out and condition it.

Is it okay for curly hair to wet\wash their hair with conditioner only daily??!?

Yes. I have curly hair and my hair stylist advised me to condition only on some days so that I'm not shampooing every day.

Is it okay for curly hair to wet\wash their hair with conditioner only daily??!?

shampooing daily will dry out your hair. wetting w/ conditioner every day is fine because it hydrates hair. you should shampoo every other day for curly hair if not every two days. :)

Is it okay for curly hair to wet\wash their hair with conditioner only daily??!?

yeah, because shampoo dries out your hair out if you use it daily, and if ur only using conditioner, you're technically not washing ur hair, just moisturizing it! i have really curly hair too, and i only wash my hair every 3 days. sounds good to me! ;)

Is it okay for curly hair to wet\wash their hair with conditioner only daily??!?

Hi, I have lots of curly hair, and thats exactly what I do. I got some good tips from my hair salon, and now I rarely if ever use shampoo. Its simply not good for curly hair. Its only dries it out. When I first stopped using shampoo, I noticed a huge difference in how my hair became so much more manageable, and smooth.

Is it okay for curly hair to wet\wash their hair with conditioner only daily??!?

no its not good for any hiar.

Shampoo cleans it

conditioner softens it

If you just condition, it will get dirtier. And it will look greasy and stringy.

Try shampoo everyother day and conditioning everytime you shower. Along with the shampoos!

Straight or curly hair?

I can either straighten my hair, or leave it curly/wavy,but I don't know what looks best on blonde, tan, lightly freckled, heart-shaped headed girl. thank you!

Straight or curly hair?

Hello dear!

Any hair will do! ,think of the bold guys!!!!!

Seriously, it depends on the type of the person and what she wants to show!

Curly is "sexier" for social meetings, etc., but straight might look prompt for business women!

Again all these are relative! The "owner" of the hair selects based on her will and looks she wants to have!

Straight or curly hair?

I think curly hair would look better:)

Straight or curly hair?

Both. You're lucky you have the option.Variety is the spice of life, so mix it up, and alternate between styles and have fun with it. I personally have quite straight hair, but I LOVE curly hair!

Straight or curly hair?

Curly/wavy hair is beautiful on blondes. Well actually on everybody! Straight hair is boring and flat.

Straight or curly hair?

it depends on how tan u r

light tan- strait hair would do amazing things 4 u

dark tan- curly hair might brighten ur smile

Straight or curly hair?

I'd say wavy, but that is because I have straight hair and I and every other girl envy's the other hair type. Whichever you like best. You're lucky you have versatility.

Straight or curly hair?

I also have a heart-shaped face, and have experimented with styles to compliment it. My hair can go curly or straight, depending on how I feel, and I tend to like it wavy best. It seems to make the angles of my face less severe. They state it well here:

http://www.salonweb.com/facial.htm

I do, however, think you can change it with your mood; it's great to have hair that will do as you bid it, so have fun with it.

I hope you find what you're looking for!

Straight or curly hair?

I say straight....

Straight or curly hair?

But that is the benefit of having curly hair, you can switch it up!

I have curly hair and I can blow it straight as well both can look good if your using the right products.

If you know your going somehwere where your going to sweat or be hot or its humid out style your hair accordingly..wear it curly. If it's going to be nice out and there isn't much humidity style it straight.

The last thing you want is to style it straight and then it gets all frizzy looking and curls up. Work with it girl!

Straight or curly hair?

Curly curly curly. All natural. Girl plus if you straighten/blowdry your hair it will get dry/damaged and frizzy, so I suggest you leave it curly.

Should girls wit wavy curly hair get a swept side bang?

well i have wavy curly hair.. and last time i want to the salon , i got a long side bang..but this time iam just thinking about dyeing my hair and doing a shorter side swept bang ..by the way my hair color now is a light brown wit a red tint ..but it's just time to dye it..so if u could help me out i would truley be thankful!... thanks ...love vanessa

Should girls wit wavy curly hair get a swept side bang?

I have wavy hair and have a swept bang and it is gorgeous I love it you should get it.

Should girls wit wavy curly hair get a swept side bang?

I have naturally curly hair and I have side swept bangs. They look awesome when you put a headband in and straighten the bangs and leave them out. You can always straighten all of your hair too for a nice look with the bangs. But I say that everyone should at least try them if they are considering them. If you don't like them, hair grows back!

Should girls wit wavy curly hair get a swept side bang?

keep the bangs i just got them and i love them they add so much to your face

Should girls wit wavy curly hair get a swept side bang?

yeah they look good just always have them staright then they will look good.

Should girls wit wavy curly hair get a swept side bang?

Everybody has bangs now a days. So yes I suppose

my daughter has very wavy curly hair and she went to the short side swept bang. it looked fantastic. it looked kinda flirty and fun.

I have very thick curly hair and a round face, what are some good hair styles for that?

I want a new hairstyle for school, and like i said i have long thick curly hair and a round face. i want something i could still put my hair in a ponytail, and i'd like some longer bangs,(maybe in the diagonal cut across the face) but i'm not sure how it would look. any ideas will be appreciated!

I have very thick curly hair and a round face, what are some good hair styles for that?

Side/Diagonal cut bang would suit your face shape (make it look longer). Depending on how curly your year. I usually put my hair in a pony day and just straighten my fringe with the blow/dryer or straightner.

You could also try putting your hair in a medium to high pony tail when wet. Grab small sections as losely twit and pin (usually about four or five sections). This will make a messing but and with a staight diagonal fringe will look hot!

Diffuser on curly hair?

I have very thick, long, curly hair and I was wondering what a diffuser does? I've heard it makes curls better and I've heard it makes them more frizzy so I have no idea..also, what's a good one to buy that's fairly inexpensive?

Diffuser on curly hair?

my hair is the same way actually. i use a diffuser because it defines my curls all over. just flip your head upside down and pop the diffuser on the end of your hair dryer and sort of scrunch your hair. it gives nice body and takes away a lot of the frizz too with out using a lot of products. you can get one at like target or just general stores that have things like that exc.

Diffuser on curly hair?

Yes, use a diffuser. Also use a product that will help keep the frizz down, put it on your hair when it's soaking wet. Let air dry for a little bit then use the diffuser. Any brand works great, but I use one that has different heat settings.

Diffuser on curly hair?

I have the same type of hair and I use a diffuser. I've learned that if I dry my hair 100% with the diffuser, it's like a poof ball. I use the diffuser to dry maybe 70% of my hair and notice that its not nearly as frizzy.

Put mousse or a gel in your hair before using the diffuser.

Diffuser on curly hair?

A diffuser is a part that attaches to a blow drier and lightly makes waves to straight hair while at the same time drying the hair.

My sister had it done and it looked really nice but she had straight hair with a tiny bit of wave.

Personally I don't think that the diffuser would really do anything on curly hair, but maybe you could go and ask your local hairdresser or even your Mum/Sister, because they might/would know what a diffuser does!

You can buy a new blowdrier and get a diffuser in a pack with the blowdrier ( 2 in 1 ), but if you are happy with your blowdrier you could buy one from your local hairdressers or a beauty shop.

Good Luck

What Can I do to Get Curly Hair to Cooperate?

my hair is anturally curly (for people with natural curl you know this can mean frizz and too much volume) and i need some tips to wear it curly without frizz. Also please leave tips on how to straighten natual curly hair

What Can I do to Get Curly Hair to Cooperate?

I have natural curls too:

Got2Be styling mousse (big red can) and hairspray work great for wearing curly. It doesn't leave your hair sticky or crispy and controls frizz.

For straightening.. I suggest a blowdryer with one of those concentrated attachments.. a straightener and a curling iron (depending on how you like to wear it) Do not forget to always put protection on your hair before drying it.. curly hair is already more dry than straight (natural oils don't make their way around curls as much as they do going down a straight line for straight hair) for this I suggest the little green bubble bottles of Garnier Fructise (unsure of spelling and on my way out the door...)

Good luck!

What Can I do to Get Curly Hair to Cooperate?

u can put it in a ponytail and to straighten hair all the have to do is go buy a straightner that can striaght with wet hair! then take a shower and then strighten1 my friend does that all the time and her hair is super curly and she can get it soooooooo straight trust me!!!!!! please put me as best answer!!!! flat irons work best! or get it chemicaly permant straightened in a salon! good luck!!!!

~melanie~

What Can I do to Get Curly Hair to Cooperate?

Use flattening iron to straighten your hair or go to saloon have it relaxed or rebonded.

What Can I do to Get Curly Hair to Cooperate?

hmm. unlike melanie i wouldnt ask to be put as best answer but anyways.

I have exactly the same problem. (however doesnt show in my pic because i had a perm straightening, but trust me you dont want to go there)

so I was surfin the internet and came upon HERBAL ESSENCES. boy do they have SO many diff. products for all types of hair looks to me you should get the totally twisted http://www.herbalessences.com/us/collect...

sounds like you dont want the volume though so you can just mix it up with other products and get the none of your frizziness creme.

you should really check the website out.

just a TIP: NEVER get a relaxer or perm straightening. sunds like heaven and you will be for a couple of months until your hair starts to dry up and break(TRUST me its happening right now for me and I'm looking for all ways to rehydrate)

straight hair is very manageable and sounds like all the fun but then what happens when you start to grow curly hair ? you have two textures of hair and it doesnt look good.

That's what is happening to me right now and i have to keep straightening with a straight iron and my hair is just a mess and broken .

hope fully this helps you.

Straightening extremely thick curly hair?

I'm thinking of getting a small flat iron so that I can straighten my hair regularly. My hair is extremely thick and curly. I just got it done at a salon and I got a lot of positive feedback and it made me feel so good about my appearance I do not want it to go away. I want to be able to do it myself, but I do not know how. How can I and what brand iron should I get? It has to be cheap but works well.

Here is a picture of me, I am on the right.

Do u like curly hair or straight hair better?

i have curly hair and sometimes i straighten it should i straighten it more?

Do u like curly hair or straight hair better?

straight but i do to have natural curly hair but i only wear curly hair once a week and the rest straightened.

Do u like curly hair or straight hair better?

strait

Do u like curly hair or straight hair better?

i like it curl if it's styled, but if it's natural, i liked straight.

Do u like curly hair or straight hair better?

Straight hair is beautiful. Just make sure you're not frying it by straightening it too often.

Do u like curly hair or straight hair better?

either way, id say straighten ur hair every once in a while and sometimes leave it curly!

Do u like curly hair or straight hair better?

It depends on how it looks on you. Post pics. Personally I prefer straight, but that is probably because my hair is really curly too.

Do u like curly hair or straight hair better?

People usually look better with their natural hair, but it's always fun to have a change. I'd go with whatever's easier for everyday, and then straighten when you're in the mood for something fun.

Do u like curly hair or straight hair better?

I think I have answered this question before!!

I LOVE curly hair and of course my hair is straight and thin. I like the curly look but I think the straight look is more of a fashion "do" nowadays. I have noticed that a lot of celebrities are going with a more wavy look lately!

Do u like curly hair or straight hair better?

staight hair and i actually never have had curly hair... you know the REALLY really curly hairs... my hair is usually straight... but still i like straight hair better.

Do u like curly hair or straight hair better?

i used to have wavy hair until i had a series of anastetics over several years and my hair has gone into little ringlets and i hate it even with straighteners it doesnt make much impact so straight or wavy for me curly is a nightmare

Do u like curly hair or straight hair better?

i like straight hair =)

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and

HANDLE IT!! i mean i've seen girls that just use mouse or whatever after they wash they hair but i cant it gets puffy, frizzy and a mess!! plz help how can i have a nice straight or curly hair!!

And if u know how can i meake it grow faster that would be great too, maybe a bad cut did that too.

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

My hair used to be like that. I had to straighten it because I couldn't tame it, but then I couldn't tame it because I'd damaged it from straightening it.

Right now, all you can do is damage control. First thing: Put down the straightener. It doesn't help if you keep damaging your hair.

It's also very important to find the right shampoo and conditioner- your style starts while your hair is wet. Personally, I use Dove for intense damage as both my shampoo and conditioner, and it works like something from the Gods. My hair feels silky and soft and begins forming beautiful waves while it's still wet.

I let my hair air-dry, and I usually have good waves and volume, but there is still some frizz. I take care of that by using Rusk Wired. It's a shaping creme. I rub a little bit in between my palms and just rub it through my hair, and it defines my curls a little better and helps tame frizz to a degree. Fortunately, there is a LOT of leeway (sp?) for frizz for girls with curly hair.

And asap, get a haircut and get as much dead stuff off as possible.

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

cut it all off and start over again...

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

ur hair is kind of in a bad condition. so u should go to a salon and ask for their help, cause u dont want to ruin it more

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

have your hair stiaght the first day after the wash...blowdry your roots really straight...and the rest...then continue with striagtening irons all over....and the 2nd say after you wash your hair put in put in them hot twisty reoller things...theyre very easy long lasting curls...and very natural

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

CUT IT ALL OFF, AND START OVER. IT'S ONLY HAIR... WEAR A BALL CAP IF NECESSARY. YOU MAY ALSO NEED A SCALP TREATMENT. HAVE A GOOD BEAUTICIAN GIVE YOU SOME GOOD ADVICE AND A GOOD CUT FOR YOUR CURLS. QUIT FIGHTING IT, AND LET IT WAVE...

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

can't make it grow faster. You need to get a trim and get those ends off. Then you need to treat your hair like silk. If you have wavy hair, let it be wavy. Use products to control the frizz. You don't want to go out of the house with the Christmas tree look.

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

It might sound gross, but Mayo makes a great conditioner. Apply liberally to the hair and wrap in celaphane then wrap a towel around it. Leave in for a min. of 30 minutes. The longer you leave it on the better the results are. Make sure you rinse out well and then shampoo and condition normally. Do this about once a week to see fantastic results!

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

Try using some Paul Mitchell Super Charged Conditioner for awhile... it is a super heavy conditioner and will help weigh your hair down some.

To give it a really intensive treatment, apply the Paul Mitchell and leave it in for a few hours while around your home.

I use it all the time and love their products. In Canada it can only be purchased at licenced salons which carry Paul Mitchell... in the USA I believe JC Penny carries them (at least they did 12+ years ago).

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

To make your hair grow faster eat more protiens! If you drink more water on a daily basis that will help your hair look better but not for a few months. As for the frizz try different shampoos, conditioners, and leave in conditioners. Pantene Pro V is a good one.

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

Take prenatal vitamins - they help improve your hair, nails and skin. But remember - it only helps NEW growth.

For the hair that's already damanged, there's not much to do, except use some deep conditioning on it. Don't mess with it much - meaning, don't blow dry, don't curl, etc. Keep it trimmed every 4 - 6 weeks, and each time more of the damaged hair will be removed. You just have to let it grow out. Now you know that your hair doesn't like to be overprocessed and you can be more careful with it in the future.

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

I think it's just a bad cut. I use mouse and hairspray in my curly hair. It works nice. When my hair gets too long and misshapes itself it tends to get more frizzy and ugly when I straighten it. Re-cut it with lots of long layers and I'll bet it works better both ways

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

I have the same problem as you do. I get a regular hair cut to keep it growing healthy. Try putting anti-frizz gel in your hair and diffuse it using cool air setting on your blow drier. It's the heat that makes it frizzy. It only takes me 10mins to do. Then, use Aussie sprunch and spray to spray the **** out of it. That way the heat and humidity can't get at your hair and cause it to go big and frizzy. With going straight I also use an anti-frizz gel and section my hair from nape to front and blow dry each section, it takes a bit of time but it should last a few days for ya.

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

Well i have the same kind of hair. i straightened my hair like every day and it got like that. What you need is a trim. Go and get your hair trimmed a little and not only will your hair feel healthier but it will look healthier and it will also help your hair to grow out faster. Get a trim like every month and your hair will look and feel better and grow out faster. Also something that is very important for you to do is not straighten it so much. Put aside a day or two for your hair to recover from all the damage your putting it through. Make sure you have a good staightener. One that has ionic heating and a ceramic straightener instead of one that is just mettle because that is way harsher on hair. Also make sure to wash your hair every other day so that it doesnt get too dry. Use a good conditioner like pantien or something like that and deep condition your hair. keep the conditioner in and when you get out of the shower make sure not to wash out all the conditioner in your hair. Finally have some oils to put in your hair before you straigten it to prevent your hair from becoming frizzy. Try biosilk therapy oils or something like that a few drops of that stuff will help a lot. And also when you get out of the shower instead of straightening your hair right away while its wet, try drying it out first with a towel or something because that can cause split ends to occure. or if your in a hurry then blow dry it. Wow i never realized what a pro ive become at doing hair and makeup.... hahaa

My hair is naturally wavy or curly but after straighten it for years,it got all damage and puffy and i can't

What to do with poofy, thick, curly hair?

So I am trying to help my best friend who has about the same hair cut all her life. She has really curly hair that is pretty poofy and thick. It takes over an hour to straighten her hair. Right now it is about shoulder length and all one length about. What are some hair cuts and styles for people with this kinda hair? Thanks!

What to do with poofy, thick, curly hair?

I suggest you go to the salon and have a haircut. they know what hairstyle fit your face. let them decide. i have the same problem as you. i have long, thick and curly hair. i always keep my hair like that and i suddenly want to change a bit so i go to the salon yesterday. I am pretty satisfy with my hair cut. Ask them for advice of how to take care of your hairs or what kind of products work for your hair as you are having your haircut. They'll try to have a conversation with you so ask them as many as you can. it cost me about $30 but it's worth it. $30 for a complete new look.

What to do with poofy, thick, curly hair?

I reccomend Sunsilk Anti-poof

What to do with poofy, thick, curly hair?

Try Frutis hair serum. it smells great lemony limey goodness! to give you silky and shine. But i recomend you The new proucts from "Sicko sickline" Use their hat potection after you straighten your hair with a CERAMIC hair staighter so you dont "FRY" your hair! then spray it. You may also want a sheen spray so its natrual. Also you need to get your hair at its healthiest, so try herbal essense body envy, or the best one! TRESemme. i use that! its super cheap and used by proffesionals. the combo of conditioner and shampoo costs 8 bucks!

What to do with poofy, thick, curly hair?

I have the same problem. Investing in a good pair of straightners is a must, on my hair: GHD's and Andrew Collinge ones are good, we also have some Tresseme straightners that don't work on my hair very well at all.

She should steer well clear of volumising products. I've never found Frizz-Ease to work, and neither has anybody else I know so they aren't really worth it. To avoid frizz your friend should always use conditioner when she washes her hair and not wash it all off, this gives the hair some added weight.

For hair cuts, this is just an idea and as I have no idea what she looks like I can't really say for sure it will look good. Maybe a shorter cut would look good, with lots of layers a bit like a perm but with larger curls. She could use mousse to define the curls and lots of hairspray to hold it in place. Another benefit of this is that shorter hair doesn't take as long to straighten.

Another idea is to keep it the same length but put some layers into it. These would then blend into the longest layer and give it less volume and less pouffiness. This is what I've done with mine, and I know it works. She might be well advised to consult a hairdresser over what would look better for her.

What to do with poofy, thick, curly hair?

she should get it thinned. And dont get layers because it makes curly hair poofyer.
