I have REALLY thick curly hair... best flat iron?

Please help me with this question. My hairdresser says my hair is some of the thickest hair he's ever seen, and on top of that it's curly. What is the best kind of flat iron for my hair type?

I use a Braun (the one with the ioniser thingies in it) and I'm very happy with it. Not sure about the model number, but it has temperature control and heats up very quickly, probably one of the better models.

I found the Babyliss Thermaglass had a good effect on my curly hair when it was long. Now it is shorter I'm using Nicky Clarke's slimline straighteners. I actually think the Thermaglass ones were better at smoothing but they are too 'fat' for my hair now.

this one is the best ever. i have it and i love it. it gets super hot and it supposed to damage ur hair less than other irons. its really expensive but it will last and do a good job. and it has a 4 year warrenty
