I have very thick, long, curly hair and I was wondering what a diffuser does? I've heard it makes curls better and I've heard it makes them more frizzy so I have no idea..also, what's a good one to buy that's fairly inexpensive?
Diffuser on curly hair?
my hair is the same way actually. i use a diffuser because it defines my curls all over. just flip your head upside down and pop the diffuser on the end of your hair dryer and sort of scrunch your hair. it gives nice body and takes away a lot of the frizz too with out using a lot of products. you can get one at like target or just general stores that have things like that exc.

Yes, use a diffuser. Also use a product that will help keep the frizz down, put it on your hair when it's soaking wet. Let air dry for a little bit then use the diffuser. Any brand works great, but I use one that has different heat settings.

I have the same type of hair and I use a diffuser. I've learned that if I dry my hair 100% with the diffuser, it's like a poof ball. I use the diffuser to dry maybe 70% of my hair and notice that its not nearly as frizzy.
Put mousse or a gel in your hair before using the diffuser.

A diffuser is a part that attaches to a blow drier and lightly makes waves to straight hair while at the same time drying the hair.
My sister had it done and it looked really nice but she had straight hair with a tiny bit of wave.
Personally I don't think that the diffuser would really do anything on curly hair, but maybe you could go and ask your local hairdresser or even your Mum/Sister, because they might/would know what a diffuser does!
You can buy a new blowdrier and get a diffuser in a pack with the blowdrier ( 2 in 1 ), but if you are happy with your blowdrier you could buy one from your local hairdressers or a beauty shop.
Good Luck
