Poofy as in frizzy? If that is the case, I may have the answer. First of all, never brush or comb your hair, it only makes it frizzier. And only blow dry it if absolutely necessary. Wrap it in a towel after showering. Find a distributor that sells a product called "Queen Helene". It is a fairly heavy gel. It comes in three different strengths. I use the yellow colored, it may be the weakest, but trust me, it's very good. It is very inexpensive as I go through about one bottle every 3 weeks. You have to comb it through your hair WITH YOUR FINGERS and not a comb. Gently disburse it through all your hair to the ends of the hair. I have found it at a chain drug store where i live. Just make sure your hair is somewhat damp when you apply it as it works a lot better that way then applying it to dry hair. GOOD LUCK!

i have long naturally curly hair and i condition my hair, wash, then condition again........wrap in a towel for 30 min....then style as usual.........that helps me, but i usually put it in a bun for about an hour or so.......it seems to not be so frizzy that way......also use a pick to do your hair with.........make sure you use a good shampoo and one for permed or color treated hair is the best..........good luck
