Layers For Curly Hair?

I have medium length, really curly hair, but I straighten it often(I had a relaxer put in it a few months ago so it stays straight for about 3 - 4 days a week). I heard that layers will make it harder to straighten, but I really want them, so does anyone know if layers will make a difference w/ straightening it?

I have the same kind of curly hair that you do, about to my shoulders. I also have layers, and they didnt make it any harder for me to straighten mine. I guess it just depends if you get really short layers, cause then its harder to put up if you straighten your hair in layers.

It can be hard because your hair might be thicker , but it will look nice .

Layers will not make a difference, it might make it even easier w/ your hair being curly to straighten. It also depends on if you get short or long layers, but either way it won't make a difference whether it will be harder to straighten your hair.

It's actually going to be easier for you to straighten it. The problem that you may run into is how it will look after it is straightened. If the layers are bulkier up top anleaves the ends of your hair thin feeling then it will look a little weird. Make sure that you explain to your stylist exactly how you want it and how you will be styling it on a daily basis. That way he/she will know what you need and want! Good Luck!!

Well I don't know if it will be harder to straighten but it will make the curly days look fabulous and not so bulky.Why don't you just enjoy your beautiful hair.I think the layers will work for you.Try not to go go bald,you may think you don't care but when you get older and it gets really thinner you then can not fix it.That happened to my cousin so now she has no hair well not much anyway.Good luck!

if your layer are going to be short make sure you have a small straightener...so you can reach the hard to get hair.... it wont make it difficult... but when you decide to leave your hair curly it will curl up even more.
