My perm is wavy/curly and I really want, just for one day, to have straight hair again... Will it get rid of the perm or will it bounce back to the permed state once I wash my hair again??
I have permed curly hair, but I want to straigtnen it. Will that get rid of the curlyness??
I tried this, and, when I washed it, the perm kinda came back. It was a lot less curly though. Now, I can't skip a day of washing and have it look decent. Actually, it never looks decent anymore and I'm buying a straightner.
It actually depends on how long you've had it. If you've had it for about 6-8 monthes, it will take the perm out quite a bit like mine. If you've had it less then that like 1-4, it will probably come back easily.
You can take the chance though. How much did you pay for it though? Mine was like $100 bucks.

Depeneds on the way your hair was permed. If it was just a regular perm then it will kind of mess up. If it's the chemical perm then it will go back to the curls but it is not adviced to straighten so often or else it will damage you hair. (dry ,split ends, etc )

if you want to straighten your and want it to bounce back you can use and shampoo that increases volume

once ur hair is naturally curly, it will not get rid of the curls.just be careful to do it well.

It will bounce back! I had the same hairstyle when I was a teenager. I had long, permed hair. When I wanted a day of having straight hair, I would wash it, dry it until just a tiny bit damp, then wrap it slicked straight back in a bun for a couple hours. I would even pin back any strays so no curls got left behind. lol When I took the bun out my hair was for the most part straight, and had just a slight wave in it where the bun had been. I brushed it out, and off I went! I did it this way because my hair was WAY damaged and I didn't want to do anything to damage it further. This worked for me, but I guess it depends on how much time you have. You could always go for a straightening iron! Quick and efficient, but I wouldn't want to use it to often on permed hair for fear of frying.
Good luck! :)
