what to do...i have shoulder length curly hair ...and thats when its styled, i haven't cut my hair in a very long time. all my strands of hair are split, does this keep my hair from growing? or do i just need a hair cut to get my hair to grow?

It will not stop your hair from growing but it does slow it down ALOT. I suggest cut off the split ends and get a 1/4 inch trim every month. Good Luck

Split ends do not stop your hair from growing. It does however, cause more breakage. Trim your hair at least once a year and don't over process.

Hair grows from the roots. Not the ends. Split ends doesn't stop hair from growing. But you should trim it anyway.

Cutting it will definitely help it grow faster. I had to cut my hair short for it to grow back better and it grew longer and better. Unfortunately, they can come back so I prefer that you buy some type of split end shampoo and always remember to condition your hair when you shampoo. Split ends will prevent your hair from growing and you need to cut it at least every two months. It'll get worse or worse especially if its dry.
