Layers, layers, layers!! If you have a square face, round face, heart-shaped or oval, layers always look good. Ask your stylist which ones would work best with your face. They also lighten up your hair so it's not weighed down, so you can use products. I find for curly-haired girls, shoulder-length hair is best, but you can go a little longer without worry.

Sometimes, it's not even the cut but the way you style it. After you get your haircut, and when you get in the shower, brush your hair IN the shower when it's wet. If there are a lot of tangles, rub conditioner all over and then comb through it. Then shampoo as normal, condition to make it soft. When you get out, wrap it up in a towel and let it dry like that for about 30 minutes. Comb through it, and dry it with a diffuser. You can choose to make it curly or wavy, no problem. Then rub some smoothing creme in it once it's dried so it won't get frizzy. It will look absolutely gorgeous!!

If you don't feel like doing that every day, like I said, face-framing layers work great for just letting your hair go as well. But you should always use some sort of product to make sure you don't get frizz or annoying flyaways.
