Of course you could always do the wash your hair and braid it wet, but if you really want to get those curls put your hsir in rollers and use setting lotion. Etting lotion is like mousse it holds the style with little effort but you also need to use an oil called hot six it gives it shine and moister. You can blowdry you hair in the rollers or you can let it dry on its own for shinier results. but if you blow dry it make sure you spray some oil sheen on it.

I hope you just write it wrong when you say you wash your hair every 2 weeks? Did you mean every 2 days? If your hair gets dry easily, you should use conditioner after shampoo. Find a conditioner for dry or damage hair. Leave it on your hair for 1 minute then wash it.

Every once a week, use a vitamin for your hair after shampooing.

And if you can find hair mask, use it every once a month, it's better if it's contains of avocado. If you want it natural, cut some avocado, crush it in a bowl until smooth well, add a little conditioner (just a little!) and use it on your hair, leave it for 30 minutes, and wash your hair just like usual, no conditioner needed anymore.

Good luck!! =)

hi, im white..but i have i dont really know how to say it..umm "black" textured hair...and first of all using rollers when its wet helps SOO much (with a good mouse or leave in cream of your choice)..also washing it every two weeks is a little too long..i do mine once every week..i usually wash it on sundays, unless its really dry then i will go ahead and wait because washing it does damage it a little..you just have to feel it and make the judgment should i wash it or not..ya know?....i also wanted to say that two weeks isnt anything bad (referring to the girl who made a big deal out of it above me) also use vo5 heat treatments weekly...it really helps too... if you straighten your hair remember to use a heat tamer.(also for blow drying) because the heat kills your hair..BUT DONT USE THE TRESEME KIND....it will KILL your hair...i hope these tips help...they helped me =D

p.s.

also go to curls.biz they have great tips and hair products....they have a hair chart that helps you pick products they are REALLY great their asian tea conditioner treatment is THE BEST for soft curls...its a little costly..but it last a long time so its REALLY worth it

I would start washing my hair more often. Two weeks is too long. Every time you wash don't shampoo because it can easily dry out your hair by stripping the oils. I would recommend doing condition washes which is basically like a deep condition. You should already do deep conditions every two weeks if not every week. Hot oil treatments should be done the same. If your hair is hard then you might have too much protein and need to balance that out with products that moisturize the hair ( the main ingredient has to be water and the product can not contain petroleum or mineral oil). There is a website that is set up like a forum that has members with your same problem. You can search through and find even more answers. I'm a member here and it has helped me take better care of my hair for it to become healthier. It is http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/
